Mrs. Keelin Pierce, Principal

Mrs. Pierce earned her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and master's degree from Washburn University. Mrs. Pierce began her education career as an elementary teacher for eight years here at Whitson Elementary! Following this, she served as an interventionist and later the Assistant Principal at Williams Science and Fine Arts Magnet School. In 2015, Mrs. Pierce transitioned back to Whitson as the building principal. This is Mrs. Pierce's 18th year with Topeka Public Schools. Mrs. Pierce is a passionate educator who is dedicated to ensuring all students receive a high-quality education. Mrs. Pierce is a proud mother of two girls and a boy. She is a native and long-time resident of Topeka who enjoys spending time with her children and family.


Mrs. Jolie Crow, Building Admin Intern

This will be Mrs. Crow's first year at Whitson in the role of Administrative Intern. She earned her bachelors in elementary education at Kansas State University. She has earned a Masters in Interrelated Special Education and a Masters in Building Leadership. She started in career in Education at Avondale East when they closed she moved to McClure and taught third and fourth grades. She left the district for two years returning as a special education consulting teacher and has worked as dean of students that past two years. Mrs. Crow is very excited to join the Whitson team!
